Within Infrastructure Data, the Patch Management team is responsible for the industrialization of the process of deploying minor release updates on a large set of databases from multiple technologies.
As part of its growth, the Patch Management team is looking for an IT engineer with solid knowledge of database infrastructure administration and experience in automating the execution of database administration tasks whose main activities are:
1. Design, deploy and evolve Database IT DATA solutions for patch management of technical infrastructures (ORACLE, EXADATA, ZDLRA, MYSQL, POSTGRESQL, MongoDB, SQL SERVER, etc.) and Transversal tools (SCRIPTS, API, OEM, OUD, MEM, etc.).
2. Ensure the continuity and reliability of the DATA infrastructures for all information systems of customers, secure their systems by Patching or Upgrade the Database in the appropriate supported version, always guaranteeing the service in compliance with the standards.
3. Contribute to business projects and assist users in the use of available solutions.
Main required qualifications
1. Experience with database upgrade/patching (Oracle, EXADATA, ZDLRA), MySQL, MongoDB, Postgres, and MS SQL Server.
2. Experience with EXADATA/ZDLRA database administration, upgrade/patching is a plus.
3. Knowledge of database transversal tools (API, OEM, OUD, MEM, SCCM, etc.).
4. Significant experience of shell scripts and commands on Linux is mandatory.
5. Strong knowledge of bash scripting.
6. Knowledge of powershell scripting.
7. Experience using automation tools (Ansible tower).
8. Experience using monitoring tools (Zabbix, Splunk, Grafana).
9. Knowledge of IS security policy and enterprise networks.
10. Experience with Problem and Incident Management.
Other requirements
1. English level B2 / French is a plus.
2. Good organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
3. Autonomous, while capable of working within a team and with other teams and/or experts.
4. Fast learner, easy to adapt, team worker.
Main tasks and responsibilities
1. Develop skills on patching and upgrade topics.
2. Know how to deal with patching and migration subjects autonomously.
3. Apply database patches in a systematic approach.
4. Proactively correct errors that block the patch execution.
5. Develop scripts and APIs to automate the patching activity.
6. Participate to build the future organization of Patch Management.
Studies and Controls
1. Monitor and control versions of existing databases and software packages selected by the company.
2. Contribute to the development of technical solutions for the catalogue and architecture patterns of DBMS solutions.
3. Ensure and guarantee the integrity of the infrastructure bases of the existing databases.
4. Propose adjustments on database settings for optimal use.
5. Ensure technological monitoring of the DBMS solutions and software packages selected by the company.
Prototyping and qualification of technical solutions for internal company standards
1. Propose technical solutions to be adopted as corporate standards.
2. Implement automatic monitoring and follow-up with dashboards (technical and functional).
3. Management and analysis (AI) tools for directing infrastructure logs Databases.
