We are seeking a highly skilled Risk Manager with at least 3 years of experience in CFD (Contracts for Difference) and spread betting trading to join our dynamic team. This role is critical in ensuring the firm's risk exposure is effectively managed while maintaining compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, a deep understanding of financial markets, leveraged products, and experience in monitoring and mitigating risk across multiple asset classes.
The role will mainly consist of covering the EU trading session, with the requirement to cover the US session on average once a week

Responsibilities Continuously assess and manage the firm's market risk exposure in accordance with the firm's risk policy framework, across various asset classes and trading platforms. Ensure positions remain within risk limits and identify potential exposure issues, hedging excess exposures where necessary. Dealing with trade and order referrals, as well as managing corporate actions and dividends. Carry out in-depth analysis of client trading patterns and behaviours for classification and subsequent risk management strategies. Conduct stress testing, back-testing, and scenario analysis to assess the firm's resilience to market fluctuations. Collaborate to enhance risk framework models, monitoring tools, and reporting systems. Ensure adherence to CMVM and other relevant financial regulations and risk management frameworks. 3 + years of experience in risk management within leveraged products. Strong proficiency in risk management tools, trading platforms, and analytical software such as Bloomberg, Python, SQL, or VBA. Well-rounded understanding of derivative products, leverage structures, and hedging strategies. Familiarity with CMVM regulations and other global financial regulatory standards. Strong numerical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and make informed decisions. Ability to present risk findings to senior stakeholders in a clear and concise manner. Bachelor's (licenciado) degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, or a related field; professional certifications (FRM, CFA, PRM for e.g.) are a plus.
