Job Description: Support to Deployable CIS Cyber Defense ProjectGeneral InformationPosition: Support to Deployable CIS Cyber Defense ProjectLocation: Off-site | RemoteContract Length: 8 months (Extendable)Security Clearance: NATO SECRET (clearance will be provided for qualified citizens)DutiesDevelopment and Baselining of Existing Documentation:• Update MCSOC documentation produced in 2022-2023 to align with the new Allied Reaction Force (ARF) focus.• Update the DCIS Cyber Defence roadmap for 2024.• Review and integrate Identity and Access Management concepts developed in 2022.Reviewing, Integrating, and Referencing Documentation:• Review and integrate aspects of previous MCSOC documentation (produced in 2022-2023).• Further develop the Identity and Access Management concept.Target Architecture Development and Technical Analysis:• Develop a Programme of Work as a technical report, identifying DCIS-specific requirements and gaps related to Cyber Defence (CD) regulations.• Propose solutions and develop a roadmap for implementing Cyber Defence requirements.• Update the MCSOC Concept of Employment (CONEMP) in line with emerging requirements.• Develop or update MCSOC project documentation based on the needs of the Technical Lead (TL) and Project Manager (PM).Sprint-Based Approach:• Deliver work in monthly sprints, agreeing on deliverables and objectives at each sprint retrospective meeting.• Participate in status updates, sprint planning, and project meetings.Reporting and Coordination:• Participate in coordination meetings, both in-person and via conference calls.• Report progress and deliver interim drafts during the sprint cycles.• Document the acceptance of deliverables via the Delivery Acceptance Sheet (DAS).RequirementsSecurity Clearance:• NATO SECRET security clearance required.Qualifications:• Extensive knowledge and over 10 years of experience in Cyber Security and Information Security.• M.Sc.
or PhD in Information Security or a related field.• Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) certification.Experience (Minimum 2 years in at least one of the following):• Concept development in Cyber Security.• Cyber operations and domain concepts.• Security Operations Centre (SOC) setup and process development.• Experience with SIEM/Logging, Firewalls, and NIDS/NIPS/HIDS concepts.• Translating requirements into security architectures and solutions.• System design, architecture, and implementation.• Familiarity with NATO organizational structures.• Working in complex, multinational team environments.Desirable Experience:• Ability to assess cybersecurity threats and risk scenarios.• Experience in producing and editing technical documentation in English.• Excellent communication skills and a solid understanding of project management methodologies.Practical Arrangements• The work will be conducted remotely with some possibility for travel to NATO locations.• Contractor will be provided with a NATO RESTRICTED REACH laptop for the duration of the contract.Travel• Contractor may need to travel for certain tasks, with travel expenses reimbursed per the NCIA Travel Directive.
