CALL OF APPLICATIONS for 1 (ONE) Research STUDENTSHIP (BI) UNDER THE PROJECT "NEW DIAGNOSTIC AND PROGNOSTIC PREDICTORS IN FABRY CARDIOMYOPATHY: PROOF OF CONCEPT IN A RARE DISEASE" (Ref PEX), at the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Porto (FMUP) - Pr. 289
The Faculty of Medicine of the University of Porto calls for applications for 1 (one) Research Studentship (BI), for a student enrolled in a doctoral program, to carry out R&D activities under the project "New Diagnostic and Prognostic Predictors in Fabry Cardiomyopathy: Proof of Concept in a Rare Disease" (Ref PEX), funded by FCT, currently ongoing at the Department of Medicine, Faculty of Medicine, University of Porto, under the following conditions:
1. Scientific area: Clinical Research.
2. Admission requirements:
* Master's degree in Bioinformatics and Biostatistics Applied to Health or related fields;
* Must be a student enrolled in a doctoral program in the field of Data Science – a requirement to be properly proven at the time of hiring.
3. Preferred profile:
* Proven experience in advanced statistical analysis of observational studies;
* Experience in managing clinical research studies;
* Certification in Clinical Trials Monitoring.
4. Work plan:
* Support for the implementation of the clinical study;
* Support for coordinating study tasks;
* Development of an electronic Case Report Form to support the clinical study;
* Advanced statistical analysis of health data.
5. Duration:
The Research Grant will have a duration of 12 months, on an exclusive dedication basis, possibly renewable, for equal or different periods, after a positive evaluation, until the end of the work plan or the funding period, and in no case may it exceed four years when the grant has been awarded to a student enrolled in a doctoral program.
6. Amount of the monthly maintenance allowance:
The amount of the monthly studentship maintenance allowance is € 1.309,64, in accordance with Annex I of the Research Studentship Regulations of the University of Porto. In addition to this allowance, the studentship holder will be covered by personal accident insurance.
7. Selection methods:
The selection methods are as follows: curricular assessment (CA) with a weighting of 90% and, optionally, complemented by an interview (ENT) with a weighting of 10%. If this is the case, the interview will be carried out with the three (3) highest ranked applicants in the CA.
