Your Role
You will be the support person for Automation and Station Level engineering and services based on MicroSCADA and RTU560 product family in diverse engineering projects within our Grid Automation Business Unit in Portugal. You will report to the PGGA Engineering Manager and be responsible for the successful delivery of assigned project deliverables on time, with relevant quality and safety guidelines.
Your Responsibilities
* Making technical recommendations during testing, installation and commissioning phases of customer projects.
* Providing technical details, costs and deliverables for sales proposals.
* Supporting project managers and lead engineers in technical reviews and discussions with customers, partners, subcontractors and vendors.
* Supporting contract managers with claims, customer specifications and safety standards.
* Creating and delivering a scope-specific work plan and budget as well as risk assessments related to your engineering discipline.
* Helping customers resolve technical issues remotely and on domestic customer sites.
* Developing leadership and communication skills by working with entry-level engineers, technicians and support teams.
* Executing Automation and protection level project deliverables in accordance with contract specifications, quality standards, schedule and safety requirements.

Your Background
To succeed in this role, you will need:
* A Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a similar field.
* More than 2 years of experience in station level control, preferably working as a project and/or commissioning engineer with SCADA (MicroSCADA preferable) and RTU solutions.
* Solid knowledge of engineering techniques, processes and tools, including SCADA, RTU, substation protocols such as IEC61850 and communication protocols like IEC60870-104/101, Modbus, etc.
* A valid driving license in Portugal and a work permit in Europe.
* A strong commitment to safe work practices and dedication to following all relevant workplace safety guidelines.
* A high level of self-motivation, curiosity and desire to learn about new technologies.
* A collaborative approach and strong communication skills.
* Fluency in Portuguese and English (written and spoken).
* Willingness to travel nationally for customer site work.
