Within Global Supply Network Operations (part of TechOps), the SKU Lifecycle Specialist acts as a key coordinator between different functions—regulatory, supply chain, manufacturing sites, and affiliates—to ensure that pharmaceutical products are efficiently launched, modified, or discontinued while maintaining compliance and continuous supply.
The Lifecycle Specialist plays a critical role in overseeing these activities for a specific product portfolio (primarily gastroenterology), ensuring medicines are delivered to patients safely and on time. Additionally, the role involves driving the artwork management process from prerequisite validation to market implementation, ensuring compliance with quality, regulatory, and technical standards.
Your day at Ferring Component change planning:
* Analyse Finished Product Bill of Material (BoM) update requests from regulatory teams.
* Ensure compliant and timely implementation of component change requests.
* Develop and monitor component change planning, aligning regulatory requirements, global supply planning, and packaging site constraints.
* Track progress and ensure timely completion of workflows, escalate risks of supply delay.
Product Launch & Discontinuation:
* Collect and analyse launch information from various functions to assess business case viability to ensure timely readiness of New Product Launch.
* Analyse product portfolio to identify optimization opportunities and initiate discontinuation processes where applicable.
Artworks file production:
* Coordinate the artwork process with affiliates, production sites, global functions, and the graphic agency, ensuring a lean and right-first-time approach.
* Monitor delays in artwork approval and take necessary actions to maintain timelines.
* Collaborate with global packaging engineers to support technical integration and alignment across Ferring's packaging sites, considering aspects such as packaging technology, serialization/aggregation capabilities, and printing feasibility.
* Serve as a key user of BLUE (Ferring's artwork management system) and PLEX (Ferring's SKU lifecycle system), contributing to system enhancements and process improvement.

* Minimum 3 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry or a highly regulated (e.g., GxP) environment; in at least one of the following areas: planning, master data, regulatory affairs, quality or packaging site operations.
* Prior experience managing artwork changes; familiarity with an Artwork Management System is a strong asset (experience with BLUE is a plus).
* Comfortable working with workflow management systems and Microsoft Office 365, able to coordinate the execution of workflows in a timely manner.
* Independent decision-making ability with excellent problem-solving skills.
* Team-oriented mindset with a proactive attitude and willingness to support colleagues as needed.
* Experience working in cross-functional and cross-regional environments.
* Strong customer service orientation and stakeholder management skills.
* Strong communication skills in English (French or additional languages are a plus).
* Any post-education program in Supply Chain Management is an asset.
