Air Liquide Europe Business Services (ALEBS) was created in 2019 in Lisbon, Portugal with the mandate to provide financial services for Air Liquide European entities. In the space of 4 years, it has expanded to over 400 employees based in 3 office locations: Lisbon, Tomar and Guarda. The geographical scope was extended to include, besides the European affiliates also entities located in Africa, Middle-East and India, and the operational scope was extended and includes today not just Finance, but also Human Resources.
How will you CONTRIBUTE and GROW?
Perform accounting and reporting activities, by gathering, checking and analysing accountancy and financial information.
Performance General Ledger Account - Validate that all journal entries are posted.
Retrieve and collect data to support the preparation of legal requirements reports (e.g. VAT, Statistics, Central bank, Intrastat).
Support Finance Business Partner with year end activities.
Articulate with other departments, if needed, to realize the necessary operations in order to comply with the closing deadlines.
Perform month closing activities according to schedule defined.
Perform Accounts analysis - Perform Balance Sheet Account Reconciliation and notice unjustified entries.
Perform Sub-ledger to Ledger reconciliations and notice unjustified amounts.
Perform the asset accounting - Follow up investment orders/assets under construction on a monthly basis with the Operations Controller and/or Plant Managers.
Record all fixed assets transactions ensuring both local GAAP and IFRS principles.
Reporting - Prepare and upload IRIS reporting packages.
Verify and notify the gaps IRIS and ERP, if needed.
Retrieve and collect data to support internal and external audit requests.
Are you a MATCH?
Degree in Accounting / Financial / Management / Economy.
More than 1 year in similar function.
Experience in Business Services Center is a plus.
Experience in a multinational company is desirable.
Intermediate in English (written and spoken).
Extra languages are valued (e.g. Arabic; Spanish; French; Italian; German; Swedish).
