NMO NetAct Trainee Role
You will work in one of the engineering departments in a multi-national team in Nokia. This role is a perfect opportunity for those with an engineering mindset who want to learn and grow with our company.
Key Responsibilities
You will be working in Nokia Project Engineering department and will learn how to:
1. Deploy and update Network Management systems in Telecommunication network
2. Integrate rich variety of Radio and Core Network elements into NM system
3. Fault Monitoring, Performance Monitoring and Configuration Management of a Telco Network is arranged via NM system
4. Execute installation and upgrade task for the Nokia NM system, Administer and maintain the Nokia NM system, ensuring its availability, performance, and reliability.
5. Configure and customize the NM platform to meet the specific requirements of the radio and core network monitoring and management.
6. Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to the NM system, minimizing network downtime.
7. Stay updated on the latest releases, patches, and updates related to Nokia NM, and perform system upgrades and enhancements as required.
8. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including network operations, engineering, and vendors, to ensure seamless deployment, integration and operation of the NM platform.
9. Cross-functional collaboration across border (remote) in an international, Europe-spread team.
Requirements
We expect you to have:
1. Graduate of: Telecom/ Electronics and Communication / Electrics and Electronics / Computer Engineering
2. Excellent English skills: both verbal and written.
3. Strong desire to learn and develop professionally.
And ideally you also have:
1. Strong interest in IT systems, IP-Networks, IP-Security and telecommunications.
2. Good practice in some scripting language, such as PERL, Python or similar.
3. Good knowledge and first experience in administering and managing Linux IT systems, including Linux installation, system configuration and performance monitoring.
4. Knowledge of SQL databases, such as Oracle.
5. Familiarity with network management protocols, such as SNMP.
6. Interest in troubleshooting and resolving technical issues related to Linux, Database, TCP/IP and web protocols, Security and SSL/TLS, VLAN.
7. Ability to adapt to new technologies, learn quickly, and keep up with the evolving field of IT and telecommunications applications.
8. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with eagerness to analyse complex issues and provide effective solutions.
9. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and vendors.
10. Detail-oriented mind with a strong focus on accuracy and quality of work.
