About the Role
Our Asset Accounting department is looking for an Asset Accountant to support our team in Lisbon as soon as possible.
Join our global unit, the Global Business Services Asset Accounting team, responsible for handling asset accounting throughout the Essity organization.
As an Asset Accountant, your responsibilities will span from daily asset accounting activities to handling period-end tasks, conducting internal control assessments, and collaborating on global asset accounting projects.

What You Will DoPerform daily asset accounting activities, including asset capitalization and divestment, following local statutory and tax rules as well as the company's own IFRS rules.Handle period-end tasks such as depreciation runs and asset-related reporting.Support project managers and controllers during the Capex process, both in the preparation and execution phases of projects (partially on-site).Conduct asset accounting Internal Control self-assessments based on Key Internal Controls (KICs).Manage special asset accounting tasks, such as periodic inventory for the asset register.Assist with global asset accounting projects and initiatives aimed at improving asset accounting.Provide data for declarations related to fixed assets to the statistical office.Offer information on asset-related figures and processes to other Global Business Service departments.Who You AreEven if not all of the following points apply to you, we would be happy to get to know you and talk about the possibility of working with you! Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or equivalentMinimum of 3 years of accounting experienceProven Asset Accounting skills are an advantageSAP ECC and S/4 and Office 365 experienceGerman or Italian languages will be a plusGood communication and analytical skills, enabling collaboration with various functionsSelf-driven, communicates effectively, and is a team player with proven ability in strong collaborationAll Applicants are requested to deliver their CV in English language.
