About the Role
As a Commissioning Engineer (f/m/d) in our HVDC Systems Team, you will play a crucial role in testing and verifying the hardware and software for our innovative HVDC Projects. You will work closely with our diverse and multinational teams to provide customized solutions based on the latest innovations in HVDC technology.
Your Responsibilities
1. Commissioning of MV and LV Auxiliary Supply Systems, including power transformers, DC Chargers, Battery Systems, UPS Systems and Diesel Generator supply including Control and Protection systems
2. Commissioning of HV Switchgear, instrument transformers, power transformers, auxiliary power systems, including testing of secondary circuits and their integration into the control & protection of the HVDC System
3. Preparation of test documentation and revising / red marking of hardware drawings in close partnership with our engineering department
4. Techincal flawless and timely preparation of tests under consideration of the required test utilities, as well as evaluation and verification of test results with respect to concept and functionality
5. Support of Commissioning Management in Quality, Risk and Claim Management
6. Participation in improvement programs (Lean, Reviews and Lessons Learned)
What We Are Looking For
* Bachelor's degree or completed apprenticeship in electrical engineering or energy technology with job-related work experience
* At least 3 years of work experience in MV and HV substations: Primary components such as MV and HV switchgear, instrument transformers, power transformers, auxiliary power systems
* Good knowledge in secondary systems of power substations with focus on control, network protection, Interlocking
* Experience / knowledge in the field of test equipment such as Omicron, engineering tools such as DIGSI, advantageous: knowledge in PLC (Simatic TDC / S7)
* Knowledge or ideally working experience in the field of Electrical Engineering and Commissioning of Electrical Power Stations or HVDC Systems
* Proficient English language skills, further language skills are very welcome
* Willingness for worldwide business trips and mainly long-term assignments on construction sites in Germany and abroad, as well as optional assignments on offshore platforms
* Team player, communicative, proactive, positive handling of conflicts, decision-making capability
