Mission of the Role: The mission of the Senior Manager for Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) sub-category lead focuses on guiding the technology procurement strategy by integrating feedback from SRMs and stakeholders to create a unified approach within their sub-category. This role is crucial for selecting and managing suppliers that meet specific technology and pricing goals, ensuring a balance of competition and innovation among them. The Sr Mgr is responsible for supplier development, managing KPIs/scorecards, leading price negotiations, and making strategic contributions to the company's market position. Additionally, they provide vital insights to the sourcing board for informed supplier selection, playing a key role in enhancing the procurement structure to align with the organization's overarching strategic objectives.
Key Objectives of this Role:
1. Receives inputs from SRMs and other stakeholders to form technology (sub-category) strategy
2. Drives right suppliers for target technology and price
3. Decision maker for technology (sub-category)
4. Supplier commercial escalation and relationship owner
5. Commercial expertise in technology and supply capacity
6. Foster positive tension and competition between suppliers
7. Pursuit and global annual price negotiations
8. Supports sourcing board for their supplier
9. Contributing to early Program Team cost discussions based on cost calculations/market investigations.
10. Understanding technical background and ensuring supplier quotations meet customer/engineering specifications.
11. Performing reverse-cost-engineering calculations.
12. Working with Cost-Data-Tool for pricing analysis.
13. Align the supplier strategy with commodity and feedback to the program teams.
14. Challenge the supply base in terms of pricing and competition.
15. Challenge the program teams in terms of specification requirements and timing.
16. Engage with finance and sales in creating overall commercial transparency for business case analysis.
17. Establish first contacts with new suppliers including NDA alignment with legal department.
18. Contribute to YoY expectations in alignment with annual target expectations.
19. Strong alignment with Engineering, Sales and Operations.
20. Push critical thinking: Challenge suppliers and stakeholders
Key Performance Indicators:
21. Contribute to annual corporate savings target.
22. Strong performance on non-saving objectives, like supplier claim recovery, and payment days.
23. Support best-in-class cost & quality through platform strategy, design-to-cost, structured negotiations.
24. Facilitate supplier issue resolution.
25. Integrate SJ pursuit and program support
26. Reach Supplier PPV targets defined
27. Develop SEP for new supplier engagement supporting both current and new product portfolio.

Qualification, Experience and Skills:
35. 10 years of working experience (Cost-engineering/procurement) in a cross functional team organization.
36. Proven ability to lead teams, demonstrating adeptness in fostering collaboration, providing clear direction.
37. Market knowledge of direct products in Commodity.
38. Overall experience in procurement procedures and activities.
39. Proven track of negotiations (supplier/customer).
40. Supplier audit performance knowledge including value stream analysis is desirable.
41. High level of commercial acumen combined with a precise and careful way of working
42. Passion for technology and investigation of undiscovered potential in design or supplier base.
43. Capability to stay focused and calm in a demanding business environment.
44. Strong communicator who is fluent in English (writing and speaking).
