The paper sourcing buying team is responsible for managing the procurement of paper and paperboard materials across the organization. They are responsible for conducting market intelligence, negotiating supply contracts, managing supplier relationships, and ensuring a reliable and cost-effective supply of paper products to meet manufacturing needs.
With a deep understanding of paper markets and a focus on supplier performance, the paper sourcing team plays a critical role in maintaining a competitive edge and supporting the organization's growth.
About the role
You will evaluate, develop, and manage external suppliers' performance in Paper Sourcing. Support the buying team by delivering data analysis upon request.
Responsibilities
1. Supplier rating:
* Perform the supplier performance management monitoring.
* Improve and publish twice per year the Vendor Rating.
1. Supplier communication/Business review:
* Support the preparation and participate in business reviews with selected suppliers.
* Review and improve supplier performance (e.g., supplier performance improvement projects, business reviews meetings).
* Enable actions follow up.
1. Buying team:
* Debrief the outcome of the BR with the buying team and/or other relevant stakeholders.
* Make a connection and create relevant reports with COT, Planning, TCS, Paper performance, and the Buyers about Supplier performance.
* Support Buying team on savings strategy and reporting.
1. Data analysis & team support:
* Prepare specific reports such as net price analysis & comparison or others.
* Support exploring and identifying saving opportunities.
* Collect and synthesize information such as consumption of corrugated sheets or carton board.
* Support the buying team following up on specific projects and reporting.
About you
You have strong analytical and data analysis skills - ability to work with large datasets, perform complex analyses, and derive insights from data. Understanding of supply chain and procurement metrics is desirable. Effective communication and negotiation abilities are necessary to collaborate with suppliers, drive improvement initiatives, and present recommendations to stakeholders.
Identifying opportunities, addressing challenges, and providing data-driven solutions. Advanced Excel skills and any other visualization tools desirable. Coordinating and managing supplier performance initiatives and data analysis projects may be part of the role.
