Job Description
The Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) ensures that software is tested comprehensively and early in the development lifecycle, focusing on both functional and non-functional testing. The SDET sets up, installs, and maintains automated test systems, actively contributing to Agile teams
Key areas of responsibility are:
1. Define, set up, and maintain automated test systems for testing the System Under Test (SysUT).
2. Create and execute automated test scripts for various testing levels.
3. Design, develop, and maintain test automation frameworks using programming languages such as C# and Python.
4. Implement testing for Q3 and Q4 of the Agile Testing Quadrants.
5. Define test cases, focusing on both functional and non-functional requirements, and write automated test scripts to verify specifications.
6. Determine test automation strategy, balancing between manual and automated testing.
7. Ensure smooth daily test operations, including exploratory and regression testing.
8. Analyze test results, report defects, and collaborate with developers to resolve issues.
9. Contribute to continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines by integrating automated tests.
10. Participate in Agile ceremonies and work in alignment with Agile principles.
Qualifications
Required Experience:
11. Experience in setting up, installing, and maintaining test automation systems.
12. Experience in testing applications across platforms, including mobile (iOS, Android) and web.
13. Strong experience in automating tests using C# and Python.
14. Familiarity with GUI and black-box testing, and writing test cases based on happy, alternative, and edge flows.
15. Experience in Functional and Non-Functional testing, including "ility" testing (, scalability, reliability).
16. Knowledge of Gherkin and Behavior-Driven Development (BDD).
17. Experience in integrating automated tests with CI/CD pipelines (, Jenkins, Azure DevOps).
18. Proficient in English (written and spoken).
19. ISTQB Certified Tester or equivalent is a plus.
Skills and Qualifications:
20. Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related fields.
21. Solid understanding of system and product knowledge from both hardware and software perspectives.
22. Familiarity with the Agile Testing Quadrants and principles.
23. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with an ability to think creatively and abstractly.
