RESPONSIBILITIES
& MAIN TASKS
1. Lead Rotating Equipment engineers in the shore base and coach/develop the team as required, as well as provides direction on technical matters
2. Responsible to provide timely support for technical issues on shore base/offshore requests
3. To monitor and understand the health and condition of all rotating equipment
4. Regularly reviews rotating equipment operating parameters to detect abnormal behavior, performance degradations and ensure full understanding of machines health.
5. Ensure that surveillance catches, and Service/Product Bulletins delivered by the Gas turbine and Gas compressors service providers are properly tracked and addressed to close out.
6. To lead and attend to Root Cause Analysis as required and establishes bad actors management for rotating equipment
7. Support the management of change processes as required by the management system procedures.
8. Provide input to new projects through review of design documents and specifications to ensure good operating practice and expertise is incorporated
9. Establish, track, monitor and report deviations and or deferments related to rotating equipment integrity management.
10. Ensure inventory of key spare parts to maintain and operate rotating equipment is adequately managed.
11. Deliver internal reporting as required by Line and Matrix Managers. Ensure this is accurate, relevant, timely and clearly identifies areas of significant risks to facilities operations.
12. Build, promote and manage applicable KPI’s (Key Performance Indicators) related to rotating equipment integrity management.
13. Maintains action tracker to record all issues related to rotating equipment. When equipment is covered by a Service contract (Gas Turbines, Gas Compressors for example), ensure an action tracker is properly maintained by the Service provider.
14. Participate to Quarterly Performance Reviews with Gas Turbines and Compressors Service Provider (i.e. Siemens or otherwise defined as required) and enforce follow-up of main actions.
15. Supports and follows-up internal and external audits related to Rotating Equipment subjects, as well as the close-out of the consequent actions
16. Ensure rotating equipment budgets and plans are prepared, justified, reviewed and presented timely to the Manager.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
17. Chief Engineer OR B.Sc. Rotating Equipment Engineer OR B.Sc. Mechanical Engineer.
18. Must have experience with gas/centrifugal compressors, gas turbine machinery, centrifugal pumps. Preferably experience with BH, SOLAR, Siemens
19. Minimum of 10 years’ experience in the oil and gas industry and in operation and maintenance of rotating equipment.
20. Previous experience in people management.
21. Working knowledge with international codes, standards, recommended practices such as ASME, API, ANSI and ISO is an added advantage.
22. Office package (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, PDF and others)
23. Fluent English mandatory, Portuguese proficiency desired
24. Willingness to obtain BOSIET certification and travel to offshore FPSOs, what will be a mandatory factor in the probation period
