This role requires a visionary leader who can define and execute a robust business development strategy, build strong client relationships, and steer the organization toward achieving its revenue and market expansion goals.Key ResponsibilitiesStrategic LeadershipDevelop and implement a comprehensive business development strategy aligned with the company’s objectives.Identify new markets, partnerships, and revenue streams to expand the organization’s footprint.Act as a strategic advisor to the leadership team, providing insights and recommendations to drive growth.Client and Partner ManagementEstablish and nurture long-term relationships with key clients, partners, and stakeholders.Lead high-stakes negotiations and ensure successful deal closures.Oversee client onboarding and ensure exceptional client satisfaction to build loyalty.Team Leadership and CollaborationMentor and guide sales and business development teams to meet performance targets.Foster a collaborative environment between departments to ensure seamless execution of business initiatives.Identify and fill talent gaps within the business development function when necessary.Market Insights and Opportunity IdentificationMonitor market trends, competitive activities, and industry developments to inform decision-making.Conduct thorough market analysis to identify untapped opportunities and emerging business segments.Revenue and Performance ManagementSet and achieve revenue targets while ensuring profitability.Develop and manage key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success of business development efforts.Prepare and present periodic reports on progress, challenges, and recommendations to the executive team.Qualifications and SkillsExperience:10+ years of experience in business development, sales leadership, or related roles, with a proven track record of driving significant growth.Experience working with startups, SMEs, or scaling organizations (preferred).Background in IT, SaaS, services is highly desirable.Skills:Fluent with Portuguese & EnglishStrong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.Strategic thinking with the ability to see the big picture while managing details.Expertise in deal structuring, negotiation, and closing high-value deals.Proficiency in CRM systems, analytics tools, and sales automation platforms.Education:Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.Attributes:Should be Based in PortugalSelf-motivated, results-driven, and highly adaptable to a dynamic business environment.Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.Ability to work effectively in a fractional capacity while delivering impactful results.What We OfferFlexible working hours and remote work options and can visit office need basis.A collaborative work environment.Opportunity to influence the growth trajectory of a dynamic and forward-thinking organization.
