ROLE SUMMARY:
King's College School, Cascais is one of the recent additions to the Inspired Group. The College is currently open to Year 9 and will be opening Year 10 next year. Pupils primarily study the Cambridge International curriculum but will be offering IGCSEs from other examination boards as well. When Year 12 opens in September 2026, the school will be running the International Baccalaureate.
The College has fast established a reputation for excellence in Portugal and is set to become one of the most highly prized education schools not only in Portugal but beyond. Its location in one of the most prized districts in Portugal together with its unrivalled facilities and outstanding staff has led to it’s remarkable growth in its student roll to 704 students this year (a growth of 55% from the previous year).
The College will launch its new boarding provision in 2024. Facilities include provision for up to 50 pupils, all situated within the College walls on a campus above the main secondary building with stunning views of the Sintra mountains and the Atlantic coast. Boarders and boarding staff will have access to the school facilities including a 25m swimming pool, tennis and padel courts, gyms, basketball courts, dance and music facilities and 5G astroturf for multiple sports including football and rugby.
All staff at King’s College School are actively involved in the pastoral life of school. The role will also offer the opportunity for contribution to co-curricular clubs and enrichment.
Due to the constant growth of King’s College School Cascais, we are looking to hire a Facilities Coordinator to join our team.
We are looking for someone with relevant experience in the intended area, results-oriented and demanding. We offer this opportunity to join an excellent, young and dynamic team, as well as salary according to the responsibility and role performed.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Ensure the normal course of all activities, spaces and equipment in an efficient, effective and professional way respecting safety standards;
2. Controlling the state of material resources, preventing their deterioration and/or breakdown, evaluating and ensuring the installation, rehabilitation and/or repair of infrastructure, machinery or equipment;
3. Identify, execute and control the preventive maintenance and monitor the interventions carried out by external partners;
4. Identify, execute and control the corrective maintenance;
5. Follow and control the resolution of urgent problems;
6. Plan, follow-up and monitor the activities carried out by the internal team and external teams involved in the functioning of the infrastructures and equipment, in accordance with the regulations;
7. Ensure the resolution of situations identified Post-Work carried out in the last 5 years;
8. Control the cleaning team and procedures;
9. Monitor and control the security team;
10. Request, compare and grant proposals for necessary work to be carried out by external teams;
11. Support security procedures;
12. Support all procedures during events held at the school.
