Arkive is building a museum collection of art and cultural works curated and owned by our members. Thousands of global members participate in the process of sourcing, proposing, voting, funding, and acquiring works into the collection. We then work with a network of exhibitions, museums, and other public spaces globally to display the collection. In doing so, Arkive is building a vehicle to democratize, decentralize, and expand accessibility to how art curation and museums are interpreted.
Come build a decentralized museum with us.
To make this all happen we’re also building some top-notch infrastructure. Tokenization and on-chain pricing oracles, podcasts and editorial commentary, logistics and fiat-crypto financing, community and forum tooling, NFTs and on-chain voting systems, and more.
Here’s where you come in
A little more on what the Frontend Engineer role is all about:
1. Work in a small team of engineers to build beautiful experiences sharing our collection and enabling the curation process for our users.
2. Own your code from design through deployment and into operation, shipping often to get actionable feedback from the team and users.
3. Deliver high-quality, secure, and robust web applications (online galleries, directories, and a user dashboard) along with tooling (communication platform, internal systems, etc.).
4. Work closely with both frontend development, enabling you to design and develop services to securely support the presentation of data to the users.
5. Get involved in strategic product decisions more largely; collaborate with the design and PM team to bring user experiences to life.
Requirements
1. A green GitHub wall or 3+ years of experience working on web-based applications; you have helped ship products before, ideally in the consumer space.
2. Comfortable working with React, Typescript, Tailwind, and some Node.js. You’re considered a JS/TS expert. You’re comfortable across the entire tech stack and take pride in delivering features E2E.
3. You’re a self-starter. You’ve either led projects yourself or worked as part of a small team before.
4. You pride yourself on writing readable and maintainable code. You understand that the code you write today will be maintained by someone else in a few months.
5. No web3 experience is needed, though it’s warmly welcomed (if you want to be a pro in bleeding edge tech like NFTs & DAOs, this is for you).
