Responsibilities:
1. Recommend and sell tour activities to Guests to enhance their shore side experience and provide suggestions and recommendations for all ports of call.
2. Responsible for daily dispatching of tours and coaches in each port of call.
3. Prepare tour packages, briefing materials, and manifests to ensure tours meet Guest satisfaction.
4. Escort and participate in tours to maintain standards.
5. Assist in daily Tour office operation and maintain desk coverage during office hours.
6. Answer Guests' questions regarding tours, ports, and private requests professionally.
7. Create Port Description sheets for each port of call with updated information.
8. Research, write, and record lectures for broadcasting about tour options.
9. Provide Guests with updated tour information promptly and distribute accordingly.
10. Send Tour Order Forms to In Transit Guests before upcoming cruises.
11. Liaise with Department Heads on tour participation numbers.
12. Report maintenance issues promptly and follow up on work orders.
13. Adhere to Company Policies, Procedures, Manuals, and Directives.
Minimum Requirements:
* College Degree/Diploma beneficial.
* Hotel or Tourism School beneficial.
* Minimum of two (2) years’ experience in a similar position ashore or one (1) year experience onboard a cruise ship in a similar position required.
* Additional training in TV lecturing skills and live lecturing skills beneficial.
* Fluent in written and spoken English.
* Advanced to Professional German skills required, additional foreign language skills are a plus.
* Excellent interpersonal and public communication skills.
* Proficient in Outlook, Word, and Excel.
* Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
* Ability to interact effectively with all levels of people.
* Remain calm under pressure.
* Service-minded with an outgoing, charming, and friendly personality.
Other Responsibilities:
* Be cost-conscious with office supplies and consumables.
* Maintain Company property properly and with respect.
Safety Responsibilities:
* Practice Safe Lifting Techniques.
* Familiarity with Ship´s Emergency plans and Safe Working Practices.
Emergency Duties:
* Follow Safety Card instructions.
* Participate in Guest/Crew Lifeboat Drills.
Team Communication and Meetings:
* Attend meetings with the Cruise Director and Hotel Manager.
