Job Description:
We are looking for a new colleague to strengthen our Cost Engineering Team.
Main accountabilities, responsibilities and deliverables:
1. Lead, coordinate Target Costing and Target Cost Achievement for mandated projects;
2. Support Sales with Cost Disclosure including Cost Breakdowns in front of the ZF customers;
3. Proactively responsible for Design-to-Cost and Cost-Down Initiatives (e.g., workshop moderation), and commercial evaluation of technical concepts/designs;
4. Provide cost transparency on product level, monitoring, reporting, and forecasting for Design-to-Cost/Target Cost Achievements;
5. Support benchmarking and tear down workshops with commercial evaluations;
6. Create, check, and provide product (and component) cost calculations on best practice level;
7. First contact person for consulting support, and interface/sparring partner for internal stakeholders (Sales, Finance, Operations, Purchasing & Engineering);
8. Develop best practice procedures and creation of knowledge database.
Required skills and experience / main competencies:
1. Degree in Manufacturing/Engineering/MBA/Business Engineering/Industrial Engineering (Bachelor, Master, Diploma);
2. 3+ years of experience in similar roles;
3. Distinct cost awareness and good knowledge of a variety of manufacturing processes and components;
4. Project management experience with a holistic process understanding and a structured way of working;
5. Strong communicator, flexible, self-motivated, and with the ability to work collaboratively with others on own initiatives;
6. Fluent in Portuguese and English. Additional languages preferred.
