Offer Description
1. Scientific Area: Chemical Engineering.
2. Financing Source: Funding from Compete 2030, by Portugal 2030, and European Union.
3. Admission Requirements:
1. Candidates with Bachelor in Chemical Engineering with a final grade of 15 or above, and currently enrolled in a Master in Chemical Engineering (or Integrated Master in Chemical Engineering).
2. Oral and written command of Portuguese and English.
3. The proof of enrolment must be made available until the contract is awarded.
4. If the qualification has been conferred by a foreign higher education institution, it must be recognized by a Portuguese higher education institution.
4. Eligibility: Applicants must comply with the Research Fellow Statute and the provisions of the Scientific Research Grant Regulations of the University of Aveiro.
5. Work plan: Execution of extraction/purification activities with sub/supercritical CO₂ and respective phenomenological modelling, including: (i) supercritical extraction at lab scale; (ii) subcritical purification of crude extracts at lab scale; (iii) characterization of extracts; (iv) modelling of the process.
6. Applicable legislation and regulations: Research Fellow Statute, Scientific Research Grant Regulation of the University of Aveiro, and Decree-Law No. 66/2018.
7. Workplace: The work will be carried out at CICECO and at the Department of Chemistry under scientific guidance.
8. Duration of the grant(s): The grant duration will be 6 months, expected to start in February 2025, and may be renewed.
10. Selection methods: The selection method will be Curricular Assessment, with the option of an Interview. The assessment will be based on the final grade and demonstrated knowledge.
11. Composition of the Selection Jury: Chair: Doctor José Pedro Aniceto; Members: Professor Carlos Manuel Silva and Professor Mário Simões.

13. Form of publication/notification of results: Results will be published no later than 60 working days after the closing date.
