Job Description:
As a Controller, you will play a critical role in providing transparent and solid financial data to the CFO and executive team.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Collect, interpret, and analyze financial data.
2. Prepare the budget according to the required timetable and format.
3. Manage the cost input process with historical analysis and challenge the data provided by business unit managers.
4. Monitor budget deviations and understand the causes of deviations.
5. Support local management in analyzing costs with a view to reducing them.
6. Perform tasks associated with the monthly and annual closing of the income statement and balance sheet.
7. Ensure the monthly and annual closing of accounts.
8. Control and manage reports, defining the environment and the collection, consolidation, analysis, and validation processes.
9. Prepare financial KPI analyses and operational and financial indicator reports.
10. Carry out analytical reviews of monthly operating results.
11. Coordinate and ensure the quality, consistency, and timeliness of accounting data.
12. Assist in the implementation of process improvements.
13. Evaluate the effectiveness of internal control systems.
Requirements:
* Bachelor's/Master's degree in Accounting, Management, or Economics.
* At least 5 years' professional experience in a similar role.
* Solid knowledge of MS Office tools, particularly Excel.
* Experience as an SAP user (preferred).
* Fluent in Portuguese and English.
* Good communication skills.
* Strong logical reasoning and analytical thinking.
* Ability to identify and solve problems.
