BU Category Manager Job Description
We are currently looking for 2 BU Category Managers to manage the Engineering and Site Services, and Substation Automation and Communication Equipment.
Mission Statement
Lead a short-term and medium-term compliant, resilient, and sustainable sourcing strategy to meet targets on total cost of ownership, reliability of supplies, and supply performance. Negotiate contracts and service level agreements in line with factory and HUBs expectations to deliver price, lead time, and Terms & Conditions information and control its usage in local ERP systems.
Main Responsibilities
* Analyze commodity spend, market dynamics, and price developments to improve category strategy and plan (using CIPS methodology) in accordance with business needs and HE procedures and regulations.
* Deliver on targets for KPIs for BU spend with focus on cost, quality, and timely delivery.
* Lead demand collection process including detailed factory/HUBs requirements.
* Manage/Run tender/order specific RFx and negotiations where applicable.
* Distribute pricing, lead times, MOQ (if applicable), and Terms & Conditions information to units and control its usage in local ERP systems.
* Improve tender and project material costing.
* Promote cost breakdown analysis, should costing, and run regular benchmarks.
* Oversee supplier relationship with regular review contract execution, supply performance, improvement activities, and future.
* Lead supplier qualification for ones in scope, perform risk assessment, plan, and assign audits to Supply Quality & Development Engineer.
* Evaluate, define, and monitor improvement measures for selected suppliers based on performance data.
* Act as resolution owner on escalated topics as mapped in escalation matrix.
* Manage claims to maximize compensation to Hitachi Energy.
* Work closely with other functions to initiate, promote, and support projects and bring value on total cost of ownership, risk mitigation, quality, cash, lead time, and material availability.

Your Background
* Bachelor's degree in engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
* 7+ years of experience in a similar position.
* Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and suppliers at a global level.
* Will to travel up to 25%.
* Fluency in English both written and spoken.
