Mission of the Role:
Bridge the gap between product design and manufacturing excellence. Translate requirements into clear, comprehensive specifications, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and ensure seamless implementation for high-quality production.
Key Objectives of this Role:
* Develop and maintain control over all the Program Management elements of System Swim Lane, such as:
* Timing plan & Strategy to meet the defined Visteon and Customer milestones
* Product Level Design Ownership (discipline contribution to Product TDR, DFMEA, Test Coverage, etc.)
* Process Compliance, e.g., Gate Deliverables, PAD, Vistway, ASPICE
* Risks, Defects, Quality indicators & Escalations
* Budget and Staff Planning
* VPDS and Vistway assigned to the Project Manager System
* Manages one or more Systems projects according to a decision matrix based on a project complexity matrix.
* Manages Customer and Visteon Systems milestones and deliverables, coordinating development activities and customer requirements management with the Systems Swim Lane Leader.
* Owns the Budget for Systems activities.
* Forecast Systems activities forecast in eproj after management approval (PIC/Gate) and keep it updated.
* Plans with the Program Lead and other project managers and aligns milestones to achieve program goals.
* Supports/aligns other project activities (issue estimates, changes impact, communicates sample delivery requirements, delivers sample test scope).
* Work with the Swim Lane Leader to ensure Environmental Validation test activities (DV / PV / ENV) and homologation meet project expectations in terms of timing, scope, quality and costs and escalation is done on time, if needed.
* Owns DV and PV, Environmental test validation, and Homologation/Certification budget.
* (external/internal resources and expenses). Load the described activities forecast in eproj after approval (PIC/Gate), and will keep it updated until execution.
* Work with the Swim Lane Leader to ensure that the test activities in internal or external labs, including tools/ benches, report availability, preliminary analysis,meet project expectations in terms of timing, scope, quality, and costs, and escalation is done on time, if needed.
Key Performance Indicators:
* Implementation of Maturity Steps on time
* Systems, Environmental, Functional Validation, Homologation budget control, and monitoring
* Load Systems activities forecast in eproj after approval (PIC/Gate) and keep it updated
* Support/Review Problem Solving / 8D Response
* Track and support resolution and/or escalation of Project Engineering & Mfg. Open Issues
* Track and Resolve Target Objectives (Customer Compliance Matrix, agreed Maturity Level)
* Follow the Project Management Process and Tools.
* Drive work item status update in the central planning database (eP, JIRA).
* Responsible for executing the Epics as defined by the Program Manager and drilling down into the activities
* Create Stories and Actions as necessary to achieve the Epic objectives and deadline.
* Work with the Systems Swim Lane Leader on an accurate estimation of changes impact on the skill areas.
Qualification, Experience, and Skills:
* Bachelor's/master's degree preferred in Electrical and Computer Engineering
* A similar function experience is preferred but not mandatory.
* Problem-solving skills, good product line knowledge, knowledge of integration testing, and knowledge of vehicle networks will be an advantage.
* Able to use script-based design - Canoe/Provetech/Python
* Able to share information, written, oral, and in presentation form, clearly and accurately.
* An independent English skill is required for the position.
Reporting Structure:
The TPM for Systems Engineering will report to the Electrification Director in Palmela, Portugal and work alongside other TPM of other disciplines as well as the Program Lead.
