The Football Business Academy is the global leader in football business education. Founded in 2017 and headquartered in Geneva, Switzerland, our mission is to accelerate the professionalization of the football industry. We do that by enhancing the skills of current and aspiring football industry professionals through various educational programs.
We are seeking a dynamic and creative Community Manager to join our team in Lisbon, Portugal. The ideal candidate will be instrumental in growing and interacting with our community, enhancing engagement, and promoting our brand through compelling content across various digital channels.
As The FBA's Community Manager, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing communication strategies that promote the company's mission, enhance its visibility, and build its reputation. You will report directly to the Admissions & Marketing Director, ensuring close alignment with the company's sales objectives.
What you will be doing:
Content creation and management
* Develop content calendars to ensure consistent and strategic content delivery across platforms like LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook, X, YouTube and TikTok
* Design, produce and post visually appealing images and videos (Feed, Reels, Stories) that resonate with our football enthusiast community
* Write engaging, informative and entertaining copy for social media posts (Organic & Paid), newsletters, press releases, blogs, promotional materials, and other communication channels (External & Internal)
* Manage the company's website (non-technical side), ensuring content is up-to-date and engaging
* Support other departments by creating and designing presentations, emails, certificates, announcements, etc.
Community engagement
* Foster a vibrant community by actively engaging with followers through comments, messages, and live sessions
* Organize and manage online events, webinars, and interactive sessions to increase community interaction
* Monitor, analyze, and report on community feedback to adapt strategies and content for better engagement
Brand management
* Serve as the brand voice, ensuring all communications activities and materials align with The FBA's values, brand identity, and messaging
* Collaborate with the marketing team to develop campaigns that increase brand awareness and participant enrolment
* Collaborate with other departments to ensure communication efforts support the company's broader goals and needs
* Manage media relations and mentions, and coordinate with FBA stakeholders on press releases, interviews, panels, podcasts, articles or other PR activities
Analytics and strategy
* Utilize analytics tools to track performance of content and campaigns, adjusting strategies based on data-driven insights combined with common sense
* Ensure communication efforts are aligned with the company's sales objectives
* Stay updated with the latest trends in community management and social media to adjust content strategies accordingly.
What you need to be great in this role:
* Proven experience (min. 2-3 years) in community management or social media role, preferably in football or education sectors
* Good knowledge of and interest in the global football industry
* Demonstrated success in creating engaging content (portfolio required)
* Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite and/or Canva, as well as video editing software
* Strong English writing and storytelling skills with a knack for crafting messages that resonate across diverse audiences
* Strong attention to detail
* Familiarity with social media analytics tools like Google Analytics, Hootsuite, or similar platforms
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as you'll interact a lot with our students from all over the world
* Report to a manager who is not based in Lisbon, maintaining clear and proactive communication to align with company objectives
* Fluency in English; other languages are desirable
* Proactive mindset and ability to work both collaboratively and independently
* Based in Lisbon with the legal right to work in Portugal
