We are looking for a Support IT Officer!
Mission & Profile: The profile we are looking for is someone with experience in a second-level support position (Application support) where the technician had to research by themselves and contact different colleagues from various departments to achieve resolution. We are looking for someone end-user focused, motivated, and proactive. They must understand all the different applications we use at Zeiss and how they are interconnected (we are talking about basic 1st level support) in order to route the tickets to the correct teams and provide clear information. Below in the “main tasks” is the basic knowledge that the candidate should have, which will cover 60-70% of their daily tasks.
Responsibilities:
* Expertise in Hardware Diagnosis and Installation.
* Operating Systems installation and setup.
* Printer management - print servers (able to install printers by network on a print server and map the printer on end-user computers).
* Handheld devices and RS232 devices installation and configuration (barcode readers, thermal printers, PDAs, etc).
* Inventory management (Guarantee and control that all IT Assets and inventory are maintained).
* Manage and coordinate all internal IT projects (External providers and/or internal business units).
* Setup and maintain new Software & Hardware in deep alignment with Global IT.
* Setup of Server environment (Windows + Linux).
* Able to work with different providers to prepare quotations, new/renew contracts, etc.
* Train End-Users.
* Having experience with SAP or ERP systems (1st level support) is a huge plus.
* Be a backup for other locations in Iberia (PT ES).
* Organization and tracking of daily tasks and priorities.
* Work as a team.
* Process Improvement participation.
* Follow superior directions without supervision.
* Provide accurate and proper feedback about requests.
* Follow implemented procedures.
Requirements:
* Minimum of 3 years in general technical support with the ability to understand business processes.
* School/Academic Qualifications: Degree in Systems Information, Industrial Engineering, Computer Science, or similar studies.
* Specific technical knowledge.
* Experience with Windows and iOS Mobile operating systems; Pack Office minimum 2 years.
* Experience with SQL SERVERS, SQL queries, Microsoft SQL 2016 and newer versions. Valuable knowledge in SAP.
* Confidentiality in the role: On all IT projects and demands, company strategic decisions, IT area KPIs, and resources.
* Good level of English.
