What you will do Strategic Leadership: Provide proactive, high-quality legal counsel to management and stakeholders, develop legal strategies that support business objectives and risk management, and establish legal frameworks and policies that align with the growth and innovation of HORSE Powertrain Portugal.
Operational Excellence: Draft, review, and negotiate legal documents to ensure compliance, manage disputes and regulatory matters with external advisors, oversee global compliance programs, and support corporate governance activities, including board meetings and shareholder agreements.
Collaboration and Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with various departments to provide comprehensive legal advice on employment law, commercial contracts, intellectual property, and tax issues. Work closely with HR on labor relations and manage contracts with specific partners. Engage with external partners and regulatory bodies to protect and effectively represent the company's legal interests.
Team Management: Lead and develop the legal function by managing external counsels. Foster a culture of legal and ethical awareness across the organization through training and communication initiatives.
What we are looking for Master's degree in law (from a recognized institution).A minimum of 10 years of legal experience, including at least 5 years in a leadership role. Extensive expertise in corporate and commercial law, ideally within a multinational company. Experience in the automotive or manufacturing industry is highly valued.Membership of the Portuguese bar association is valued.Advanced level of English and Portuguese.Excellent negotiation and communication skills, strategic mindset, and the ability to manage complex legal matters. High level of integrity, discretion, and professionalism.
