Offer DescriptionA tender is open for the attribution of 1 Research Scholarship within the scope of the R&D project TERRAMETA - TERahertz ReconfigurAble METAsurfaces for ultra-high rate wireless communications, Ref:101097101, funded by the European Union, under the following conditions:
Work Plan: The TERRAMETA project aims to explore the development of resistive memories based on 2D nanomaterials, fabricated by chemical processes, with application in antennas operating in the THz range. The surface properties of these materials are fundamental and will be studied within the scope of this scholarship's work plan. In particular, possible chemical modifications of the switching layer MoS2 after contact deposition (Cr/Au by electron beam deposition) will be probed by depositing very thin metallic overlayers, followed by XPS measurements.
Application deadline and form of application submission: The call is open in the period from February 10th to February 20th 2025.
Documents to be provided with the application: Curriculum Vitae, Qualifications Certificate and other documents that prove the candidate has finished the Master's study cycle, proof of enrolment in a non-academic degree awarding course or in a PhD program in Microelectronics and Nanotechnology (or declaration on honour stating eligibility to enrol in one), proof of grade recognition in Portugal, in the case of grade obtained abroad (or declaration on honour stating that it will be obtained if the candidate is awarded the fellowship), cover letter and other documents that the candidate considers relevant to this application.
Form of submission of applications: Applications should be submitted by email to the CENIMAT RH (******) and to Prof. Asal Kiazadeh (******). The subject of the message should read "Candidature to TERRAMETA project".
Documentation to be provided during contracting: Proof of enrolment in a non-academic degree awarding course or in a PhD program in Microelectronics and Nanotechnology; proof of grade recognition in Portugal, in the case of grade obtained abroad.
