The Role
We are seeking a strategic and results-driven Head of Business Development to lead PlatformE's expansion in the B2B fashion tech space. This role is remote or hybrid, offering flexibility in location.
Key Responsibilities:
* Strategic Growth & Leadership: Develop and execute a comprehensive business development strategy to drive revenue and expand PlatformE's presence in the B2B e-commerce and retail tech space.
* Partnership Building: Cultivate and manage strategic partnerships with leading brands, retailers, and key industry stakeholders, positioning PlatformE's technology as a game-changer in on-demand, customized production.
* Market Insight & Analysis: Analyze trends and opportunities within e-commerce, retail, fashion, beauty, interiors, wellness, and hospitality, and use this insight to proactively shape PlatformE's business development efforts.
* Sales & Solution Implementation: Lead the full sales cycle, from prospecting and pitching to negotiating and closing complex deals, ensuring a seamless implementation and handover to Account Management.
* Representation & Advocacy: Represent PlatformE at high-profile industry events and networking opportunities, promoting the company as a thought leader in fashion tech.
* Team Leadership: As the company grows, build and lead a high-performing business development team, fostering a results-driven culture and supporting team members' professional development.
Requirements:
* 5+ years of experience in business development or sales, particularly within e-commerce, retail tech, or fashion tech.
* Proven track record in B2B sales, especially in selling and implementing technology solutions for e-commerce and retail environments.
* Deep understanding of the fashion industry, including customization technology and on-demand production.
* Excellent negotiation, communication, and presentation skills, with the ability to engage C-level stakeholders.
* Data-driven with experience in tracking sales metrics and performance.
* Fluent in English, with French and Italian being highly desired.
* Entrepreneurial mindset and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth startup environment.
