JOB DESCRIPTION Join our team of IT architects, cloud service analysts and cloud community managers to support us in growing competitive advantage from cloud technology and cloud service models.Our team acts at a global scale by contributing to a Cloud Center of Excellence (CCoE) function. Collaborate with KN development teams around the globe, support them in optimizing their benefit from the cloud service ecosystem and feedback on your insights with cross-team impact at the Kühne + Nagel enterprise scale.
Your Role
You join as a member of our IT hub in Porto.From here you contribute to our distributed team across European IT hubs located in Hamburg (Germany) and Tallinn (Estonia) as well as with IT development and IT infrastructure teams around the world.
Your Responsibilities
1. Local consulting: Collaborate and interact closely with development teams at Porto in order to support them in creating optimal solutions leveraging cloud technology and services.
2. Remote consulting: Collaborate with remote teams using digital workplace solutions together with our tools, processes and documentation resources that we develop and shape for this purpose. Occasionally, visit remote teams in person, eg in a workshop format.
3. Decide to invest time when it's valuable to do so, eg to understand design requirements of a team. We don't aim to provide consultancy on a rush without getting the context - the latter one is available from the bookshelf.
4. Support in community building and in fostering of collaboration links cross-team and cross-location, eg by shared contributions to our catalog of cloud solution templates that adopts 'inner source' for collaboration.
5. Stay up-to-date and hands-on by supporting PoCs and by contributing to development of our internal toolset, ranging from integration glue code to knowledge graph anaylsis of cloud usage patterns.
6. Have a good understanding of DevOps model and of platform engineering and support us in ramping-up new support services in this space.
Your Skills and Experiences
7. You have a track record in the design and implementation of multiple software applications that apply cloud-native methods and tooling.
8. You have profound experience with the product portfolio of AWS and ideally with one or more additional public cloud hyperscalers such as GCP or Azure.
9. You are familiar with leveraging container platforms based on Kubernetes, including AWS EKS.
10. You like to actively connect with other and unknown teams to you, in order to understand their requirements and to build trustful working relationships.
11. You have a good understanding of re-occurring design and development patterns and ideas on how to extract and capture them.
