We need a Receptionist (rotating schedule) to join our team in Lisboa for a full-time job, 5 days a week.
Job Description:
1. Maintain a friendly, cheerful and courteous demeanour at all times.
2. Use suggestive selling techniques to sell rooms/beds and promote other services of the hostel.
3. Assist in registering guests and assigning rooms/beds.
4. Resolve customer issues, complaints, problems in a quick, efficient manner to maintain a high level of customer satisfaction and quality service.
5. Build strong relationships and liaise with all other departments especially housekeeping, maintenance & reservations.
6. Perform other duties as assigned, requested or deemed necessary by management.
7. Thoroughly understand and adhere to proper credit, check-cashing, and cash handling policies and procedures.
8. Ensure safety by following guest check-in and security procedures and reporting suspicious activity to security, manager, or MOD.
9. Maintain the cleanliness and neatness of the front desk area.
10. Run the day end / night audit & police report.
11. Work closely with the Financial Department to ensure accounting coherence.
12. Availability for a rotating schedule.
13. Maintain fluid communication with the different departments.
14. Answer calls and e-mails.
15. Respond to customer queries, concerns and complaints.
Essential Studies and Experience Required:
1. Studies in Tourism and/or professional training in tourist accommodation management.
2. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, PowerPoint).
3. Native Portuguese speaker.
4. High level of English is essential.
5. Knowledge of other languages would be an asset.
6. Knowledge of the MEWS programme highly valued.
