We’re seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Onboarding Officer to join our team at Sportrack! As the first point of contact for new Sponsors, you’ll play a crucial role in creating a positive and engaging onboarding experience, ensuring new "Sportrackers" have the knowledge, resources, and connections they need to thrive from day one. You’ll coordinate onboarding activities, streamlining processes, and foster a welcoming environment that reflects our company culture and sets our employees up for success.
Tasks
Onboarding Experience Tasks (Meetings and Partnering)
1. Initial Onboarding Meeting: Conduct a one-on-one or group session to introduce athletes to the team’s norms, values, and expectations.
2. Goal Setting: Collaborate with athletes to identify their personal and sponsorship-related goals, ensuring alignment with team objectives.
3. Coach-Athlete Compatibility Check: Assess compatibility between the athlete and coaching methodology to build a strong working relationship.
4. Partnering with Sponsors: Facilitate introductions and partnerships between athletes and potential sponsors, highlighting mutual benefits and opportunities.
5. Training History Review: Collect information on the athlete’s previous training, condition, and achievements to tailor onboarding strategies.
Getting Athletes Online Tasks
1. Resource Sharing: Provide athletes with digital tools, guides, and templates to help them upload training data and manage their profiles effectively.
2. Profile Setup for Sponsorship Visibility: Assist athletes in creating professional online profiles that showcase their achievements and attract sponsor interest.
3. Orientation on Digital Platforms: Train athletes on using platforms for tracking progress, communicating with coaches, and engaging sponsors.
4. Feedback Mechanisms: Set up systems for athletes to share feedback on onboarding processes to improve their experience.
5. Monitoring Progress: Regularly evaluate athletes’ readiness for sponsorship opportunities through check-ins and milestone tracking.
Requirements
Educational and Professional Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration, or a related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in onboarding, recruitment, or HR processes, with a proven track record of employee integration and retention.
• Familiarity with onboarding best practices, employment laws, and compliance requirements.
Skills and Competencies
Strong organizational skills to manage multiple onboarding processes efficiently.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build rapport with new hires and foster a positive onboarding experience.
• High attention to detail for managing paperwork, verifying qualifications, and ensuring compliance.
• Ability to adapt to diverse needs and backgrounds of employees while maintaining inclusivity.
• Proficiency in using HR software tools and platforms for scheduling, tracking, and reporting onboarding activities.
Key Responsibilities
• Coordinate onboarding activities such as orientation sessions, initial training, and team introductions.
• Develop and maintain onboarding materials like employee handbooks, welcome kits, and training resources.
• Ensure completion of administrative tasks such as payroll setup, benefits enrollment, disclosure checks, and IT setup.
• Facilitate partnerships between athletes and sponsors by creating visibility through online profiles and networking opportunities.
• Monitor progress of new hires during the onboarding process and provide feedback to ensure smooth transitions into their roles.
