Job Summary
The Junior Category Manager reports to the VP Capex Procurement & Project Engineering and is responsible for assisting sourcing activities for the capex procurements department. In Logoplaste, the Capex procurement Categories are divided into the different processes, i.e. Polythene extrusion, PET Blowing, PET injection, Auxiliary, Downstream etc. This role drives procurement excellence across these categories globally (all regions) and ensures a day-to-day interaction with internal stakeholders and suppliers to ensure uninterrupted supply of quality equipment. This role is also responsible for ensuring that the central systems and information databases are maintained up-to-date, provides support to all users on using this system effectively and continuously seeks ways to ensure compliance with all the corporate policies and procedures throughout the organisation.
Key tasks & Activities
Sourcing:
1. Establishment and implementation of global and regional sourcing strategies for the allocated categories
2. Data analysis and market research to evaluate Logoplaste’s position in the market
3. Development and internal alignment of key strategy measures
4. Setup of supplier panels based on strategy
5. Deployment of strategy into the region
6. Generation of synergies and savings using bundling and leveraging
7. Harmonization of processes, tools and suppliers across the region
Manage capex procurement:
1. Management of complex RFQs
2. Preparation of quote comparison (cost factor analysis, commercial analysis)
3. Lead supplier negotiations for commercial and contractual aspects
4. Preparation and execution of sourcing committees
5. Alignment of joint decisions between all project participants
6. Client Relationship Management with internal stakeholders and local buyers in the plants
Database and Policies
1. Manage and maintain CPPE departments data systems
2. Ensure policies and procedures are kept up to date and shared with relevant stakeholders
3. Maintain Sharepoint pages and internal PR
Capex procurement
1. Maintain high levels of service to internal Logoplaste parties
2. Ensure internal KPI's are maintained for reaction and accuracy of RFQs
3. Communication within Logoplaste and external of on-going projects and task requirements
Who we are looking for…
Background and Experience
1. Degree in mechanical, polymer or electrical engineering
2. 3-10 years of experience in manufacturing or automation
3. Previous experience focused in downstream and automation equipment as he/she needs to assist with the downstream sourcing, challenging suppliers and assisting in line design with suppliers and our technical team
Technical Skills
1. Proficiency with Microsoft Excel (mandatory)
2. CIPS Diploma (is a plus)
3. Knowledge of SAP (is a plus)
4. Knowledge of Ariba (is a plus)

1. Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and derive actionable insights
2. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities
3. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
4. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and negotiate effectively with suppliers
