The category supervisor provides leadership that drives total store results with specific ownership of an assigned merchandise category. The category supervisor drives results in the assigned category by supporting the development and execution of short term action plans and long term strategies.

• Serves on Sales Leadership Team and is responsible for total store results

• Maximizes sales potential by spending 90% of scheduled time on the sales floor

• Supports, models and enhances all selling and sales support behaviors to ensure a seamless customer experience
• Gains business insight for assigned category and assists direct manager in creating SMART action plans that improve execution and results
• Supports Best at Bras initiatives with a focus on current selling strategies
• Analyzes customer experience reports and insights and mobilizes the team accordingly
• Displays expert product knowledge of assigned category and general knowledge of all categories
• Conducts CSL and associate observations and provides feedback
• Understands, adheres to and reinforces brand standards
• Plans floorsets to effectively impact and optimize assigned category results
• Partners with brand delivery team to plan brand guides and initiate floor moves as needed
• Drives customer loyalty through current brand strategies, including credit and customer relationship marketing
• Ensures payroll is managed daily by punch guarding and executing flex worksheet
• Executes store opening and closing procedures when necessary
• Partners with Sales Leadership Team to identify and resolve all maintenance and housekeeping issues
• Reinforces all activities related to providing a safe working environment
• Supports development and implementation of store strategy to reduce shrink
• Creates an awareness of and builds capabilities in loss prevention by fostering a culture of honesty and connecting the links between customer service, associate engagement and shrink
Builds a high performance team:
• Attracts and recruits qualified sales associates
• Fosters associate connectivity with sales associates
• Supports direct manager in execution and facilitation of sales education materials and selling strategies
• Communicates effectively with Sales Leadership Team, associates and peers

• Assists in the observation and training of new associates, including mentoring and serving as a shadow partner

• Knowledge of sales associates
QUALIFICATIONS
• Demonstrates ability to improve customer satisfaction and drive customer loyalty
• Demonstrates ability to manage complex and competing priorities with time management and organizational skills
• Demonstrates business acumen with strong analytical skills
• Demonstrates strong visual merchandising skills specific to category assignment
• Schedule flexibility to include evenings and weekends
• Previous supervisory experience preferred
