Job Overview
We are working with a multinational group seeking an experienced Financial Controller to lead the implementation of our Regional Finance strategy in Portugal.
The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as excellent communication and leadership abilities.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead the implementation of the Regional Finance strategy, encompassing finance-focused initiatives in Portugal
* Act as a strategic partner to the Managing Director, collaborating closely with other local departments
* Oversee the annual business planning and forecasting processes for Portugal
* Guarantee the accuracy of local financial records in alignment with local regulations
* Oversee the process for the annual legal audit
* Develop reports and presentations to guide the management of the Portuguese operations
* Manage the monthly accounting close process and provide financial reports to the headquarters
* Contribute to ad hoc analyses for business expansions, acquisitions, and the integration of new entities
* Evaluate investment proposals and oversee the preparation of investment approval requests
Requirements
* Degree in Finance, Management, Accounting or similar areas
* 5 years experience as a Financial Controller
* Certified Accountant
* Background on industrial or logistics operations is important
* Great analytical and problem-solving skills
* Team player
* Hands on approach
* Fluent in English
* Good ERP knowledge
