Mission of the Role: Design and develop state-of-the-art power electronics solutions.
Key Objectives of this Role:
1. Lead architecture development and key component design for power stage and control electronics.
2. Develop industry-leading targeted attributes for EV power electronics.
3. Create and execute innovative designs and processes in all aspects of power electronics products.
4. Engage with industry and academic consortiums and conferences to promote Visteon’s technology positions and build a talent pipeline.
Key Performance Indicators:
5. On-time delivery of work packages according to plan and quality requirements.
6. Timely answering customer inquiries related to the design characteristics and functionality.
Key Year One Deliverables:
7. Solid understanding of customer requirements related to the respective projects.
8. Solid contribution to the team of experts while solving the imposed technical challenges.
Qualification, Experience and Skills:
Demonstrated skills and abilities as might be expected from a person with:
9. Solid power electronics background.
10. Experience with DCDC converters simulation, schematic capture, and layout.
11. Experience with PFC (power factor controller), LLC, and gate drive circuitry design.
12. Demonstrated capability in creating and executing innovative ideas in converter design and/or in relevant technologies mentioned above.
13. Hands-on electrical hardware testing/debugging capability.
14. Good communication skills, verbal and written with global cultural sensitivity.
15. Ability to work within a constrained deadline (quotes are tightly time bound).
16. Self-motivated with ability to lead a distributed team toward a common goal.
17. BS in EE or related field with equivalent experience is required, a Master’s degree is preferred.
