Job Description
Responsibilities
1. Define and implement quality control techniques to verify the quality of raw materials, intermediate, and end products.
2. Manage and control all Quality Control activities in accordance with quality assurance standards, company procedures, client specifications, contract requirements, and regulatory guidelines.
3. Contribute to area planning, participate in methodology definition, and propose new methodologies and objectives.
4. Ensure equipment availability and utilization in a productive manner.
5. Ensure task fulfillment according to task distribution lists.
6. Pursue Right First Time in all tasks assigned to the team.
7. Generate and report key performance indicators for the team.
8. Investigate OOS results, deviations, QC incidents, and HSEE events, proposing corrective/preventive actions when applicable.
9. Support QC management in fostering continuous improvement and leadership in this area.
10. Propose training subjects for the Quality Control program based on needs identified in day-to-day operations.
11. E nsure adherence to company COP's, SOP's, IOP's, and policies by self and staff of the team.
12. Assist with audits/investigations as required.
13. Represent the team in internal, customer-related meetings or audits.
14. Ensure cleanliness, tidiness, and organization of the area and related tasks.
15. Supervise TMs assigned to his/her area of responsibility and distribute work tasks.
16. Provide input to ensure HR processes run smoothly, namely in terms of recruitment, integration, training needs, and performance management.
17. Ensure alignment and motivation of TMs towards achieving Hovione's goals, values, and culture.
18. Ensure area goals are properly cascaded to the team.
19. Comply with GMP and HSE guidelines, internal and external requirements, and promote the implementation and maintenance of Hovione's policies, systems, and procedures within his/her TMs.
20. Carry out assigned tasks and duties in a safe manner, in accordance with instructions, and comply with environmental, health & safety rules/procedures, regulations, and codes of practice.
Requirements
* Degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or similar fields, or equivalent job experience.
* Previous relevant experience in an Analytical Chemistry/Quality Control laboratory.
* Proven experience in training and leading others in the field.
* Extensive knowledge of Analytical Chemistry/Quality Control laboratory practices and ability to effectively train others.
* Knowledge and experience of GMP and ICH guidelines.
* Good communication skills (verbal and written).
* Highly skilled at running work processes and its related tools.
* Fluency in English desirable.
