Senior Data Expert
Key responsibilities/What you do:
1. Build up and design our data management architecture in the most efficient manner possible.
2. Design and develop the data landscape: collection, cleaning, standardization, storage of data from different sources and formats into the standardized data model.
3. Design and implement routines to automate the data loading to the DB (linking to external DB, periodical scanning of folders, etc).
4. Design and implement errors checking procedures, maintenance of lookups and mapping files and manage periodical updates in case of mapping errors/modifications.
5. Design and implement primary DB Outputs for Policy and Claims, enabling the production of different reporting with different granularity and dimensions, aimed to support:
1. Portfolio Monitoring
2. Forecasting
3. Frequency-Severity Analyses
6. Potentially develop user self-serve tools to access Data.
7. Support the development of the Pricing Model(s) from data perspective.
8. Drive the Data Strategy for the LoB, in alignment with Allianz Data standard.
9. Work closely with all the Product & Underwriting teams on existing portfolio, new business and future product innovations.
10. Act as LoB representative towards BUs and other data providers, for data-related topics.
Key requirements/What you bring:
1. University degree in Computer Science or similar.
2. Senior profile with strong technical expertise in DB setup, management and adaptation to business needs.
3. 5+ years of experience in the role, preferably in insurance industry.
4. Strong experience in SQL, Python, VBA, Oracle and the main coding languages to manipulate data and draw insights from large data sets.
5. Proficiency with one or more business intelligence tools such as PowerBI, MicroStrategy and/or similar.
6. Understanding of IT platforms and architecture.
7. Strong English level of communication, including ability to translate complex analysis and concepts for non-experts.
8. Strong communication skills and ability to work with IT, underwriting and actuarial experts.
