Job Description Job description: The Quantitative Data Intelligence (QDI) team is responsible for providing data, insights, and analysis to Global Markets front office.
The team aims to build a solid database from various sources and develop analysis, reports and dashboards to provide valuable insight to the Front Office in a rapid, agile manner.
Our team is responsible for multiple steps regarding data processing: Data Feeds industrialization, ETL, Data Warehousing and Data Visualization.
We are in direct contact with business sponsors, sales, and traders.
We seek to shape the technologies available to the client's needs - we plan in processing the data using Python and SQL, while delivering the final product in Tableau, Power BI, APIs, and Chat bots. Main Tasks: Data Visualization: Design and develop interactive Tableau dashboards and reports that provide actionable insights.
Ensure dashboards are user-friendly, visually appealing, and aligned with business requirements.
Data Management: Collaborate with data engineers and analysts to ensure data accuracy, integrity, and availability.
Work with large datasets, perform data cleansing, and optimize data queries for performance.
Stakeholder Collaboration: Engage with stakeholders to understand their data needs and provide solutions that meet their objectives.
Conduct training sessions and workshops to educate users on how to effectively use Tableau dashboards.
Maintenance and Support: Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to Tableau dashboards and reports.
Continuously monitor and improve the performance of existing dashboards.
Documentation: Maintain detailed documentation of all dashboards, reports, and data sources.
Keep up to date with the latest Tableau features and best practices.
Qualifications Skills: Academic background in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, or a related field.
Professional experience as a Tableau Developer (at least 2 years). Technical Skills: Proficiency in Tableau Desktop and Tableau Server.
Strong SQL skills and experience with databases (e.g., MS SQL Server, PostgreSQL, Oracle).
Familiarity with data warehousing concepts and ETL processes.
Professional experience in data analysis with programming, preferably Python (Pandas).
Knowledge of other BI tools (e.g., Power BI, QlikView) is a plus. Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to interpret complex data and translate it into meaningful insights.
Communication Skills: Excellent communication and presentation skills.
Ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Fluency in written and spoken English. Other Skills: Detail-oriented with a strong focus on data accuracy.
Strong organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize multiple projects and meet deadlines.
Familiarity with agile methodologies and project management tools.
Knowledge in financial markets is a plus (fx, credit, rates, commodities). Language Skills: English - Mastery.
Additional Information Hybrid (2 days/week) working model in Lisbon, but during the first 3 months, more on-site presence will be required.
