Your mission
We are currently seeking an experienced DevOps Engineer to join our Platform Engineering division. The Platform team is focusing on two major directions, custody and staking. Our tech stack is OpenStack, AWS, Kubernetes, Node.js, C/C++, Go, and Postgres. You will work on building, maintaining, and securing our blockchain infrastructure in the cloud and on-prem and further extend our self-service delivery platform.
In this role, you will:
* Provision and maintain AWS and on-prem infrastructure for crypto custody.
* Set up and maintain Gitlab CI/CD pipelines for code deployments and testing.
* Implement robust security measures, encryption, access controls, and ensure compliance.
* Build and maintain infrastructure management automation tools.
* Implement monitoring and alerting solutions.
* Optimize infrastructure and application performance for scalability and cost-efficiency.
* Establish effective backup and disaster recovery procedures.
* Work closely with development teams on improving the delivery process.
* Maintain comprehensive infrastructure documentation.
* Diagnose and resolve infrastructure and application issues.
* Participate in an on-call rotation for critical incident response.
* Assist in regulatory compliance audits.
* Secure blockchain infrastructure.
* Collaborate in cross-functional teams in the front lines of the web3 movement.
* Work closely with the security engineering teams to provide a trusted platform for our customers and web3 protocols.
What you need to be successful:
* Proficiency in AWS and services such as EC2, S3, RDS, VPC, IAM
* Strong grasp of networking concepts and protocols
* Experience with Docker containers and container security
* In-depth knowledge of Kubernetes and container orchestration
* Experience with CI/CD pipelines and version control, preferably in Gitlab
* Strong understanding of crypto asset security, encryption, access controls, and compliance standards
* Proficiency in scripting (e.g., Bash, Python) and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) with Terraform and Ansible
* Familiarity with monitoring tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana) and log management (e.g., ELK stack)
* Ability to identify a problem, shape the solution, weigh-in the trade-offs, align the priorities, and drive the implementation
* Strong communication skills
