Functional Analyst (relocation to Belgium)We are looking for a Functional Analyst who is willing to relocate to join our Client's team in Brussels, Belgium.
Job Summary: Our client is seeking a skilled Functional Analyst to bridge the gap between business needs and technical solutions. As a Functional Analyst, you will play a vital role in identifying business problems or requirements, crafting solution designs, and ensuring seamless integration within the enterprise environment. You will collaborate closely with clients, architects, asset teams, and various stakeholders across all phases of the project lifecycle to deliver impactful, cost-effective, and scalable IT solutions.
Key Responsibilities: Preparation Phase: Accompany the product owner and client through the solution-reflection process, proposing alternative or adequate solutions aligning with enterprise architecture and strategy (while considering cost/benefit).Ensure adherence to enterprise architectural standards, including security and governance rules.Collaborate with architects to define and set up the architectural framework.Coordinate with project stakeholders (Project Manager, Asset Manager, Product Owner, etc.) to ensure alignment.Act as the liaison between the client, business analyst, and IT teams, ensuring the unified understanding of client needs across all involved IT stakeholders.Elaboration Phase: Translate business requirements into detailed functional requirements, ensuring alignment with chosen solution alternatives.Define functional responsibilities for each involved asset.Design solution applications, identifying the detailed impacts on different application components and ensuring compliance with architecture guidelines.Collaborate with technical teams across different assets to specify functional and technical requirements.Construction Phase: Oversee the development and testing phases to ensure solutions meet functional specifications and maintain coherence with the design.Provide technical definitions for essential components, including integration layers, security, and queues.Support suppliers during development, integration, and assembly testing (I&AT).Address and analyze defects discovered during the testing phase.Assist release and deployment teams to ensure smooth implementation across environments.Post-Deployment Support: Analyze production incidents and oversee effective resolutions.Update and maintain relevant documentation post-deployment.Required Qualifications: At least 4 years of relevant experience in a similar role.Strong skills in functional and business analysis, with the ability to translate business needs into technical requirements.Solid understanding of enterprise architectural standards, including security and IT governance.Proven experience collaborating with cross-functional teams, including business clients, architects, and IT specialists.Comprehensive knowledge of solution design, application integration, and system architecture.Proficient in analyzing and resolving testing defects and production incidents.Experience in Agile environments is a plus.Excellent communication and coordination skills.Why Join Us?
