Our client, a global advisory firm and investment bank guiding transformative healthcare companies, is looking for a Healthcare Investment Banking Analyst. With presence across the US, Europe, Asia, and Latin America, our client combines global reach with local expertise. Their services include advising on mergers and acquisitions, R&D and commercial licensing partnerships, capital raising, and strategic consulting. Responsibilities:
* Financial Analysis and Modeling: Build and maintain detailed financial models to evaluate transactions, including valuations, merger implications, and investment returns. Conduct sensitivity analyses to assess financial and strategic outcomes.
* Industry and Market Research: Conduct comprehensive research on healthcare companies and market trends to support transaction origination and execution. Develop insights to guide strategic recommendations for clients.
* Pitch and Presentation Development: Prepare high-quality pitch books, presentations, and other marketing materials for client meetings. Collaborate with senior team members to create compelling, client-focused deliverables.
* Transaction Support: Assist in deal execution by preparing financial analyses, coordinating due diligence, and drafting key transaction documents such as offering memoranda and investor presentations.
* Collaboration with Cross-functional Teams: Work closely with colleagues in different geographies and functions to support global client engagements. Actively contribute to team discussions and provide solutions to complex challenges.
* Client Interaction: Support client interactions by preparing materials, attending meetings, and following up on action items. Develop strong working relationships with client teams and stakeholders.
* Continuous Improvement: Monitor industry best practices and stay updated on financial techniques, tools, and developments to enhance the company’s analytical capabilities.
What are we looking for:
* Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field. A master’s degree or relevant professional certifications (e.g., CFA, Series 79, 63) is a plus.
* Experience: 1-3 years of experience in investment banking, private equity, or a related financial field. Experience in life sciences or healthcare is preferred.
* Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and financial modeling. Familiarity with financial databases and research tools.
* Analytical Acumen: Strong quantitative and analytical skills with a keen ability to assess business opportunities and risks.
* Interpersonal Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with senior professionals and clients.
* Team Player: Collaborative mindset with the ability to thrive in a team-oriented, fast-paced environment. Proactive and self-motivated with a strong work ethic.
* Global Perspective: Understanding of cross-border transactions and cultural sensitivities. Fluency in multiple languages is a plus.
