The Role
BCA is currently recruiting for a Technical Writer to join the European Knowledge Management team based in Portugal.
Key Responsibilities:
* Creating technical documentation for assigned product and business areas.
* Documenting product features, translating complex information into clear, high-quality and useful technical knowledge content (in a Product environment).
* Collaborating with internal product and technical teams to obtain an in-depth understanding of the product and ensure the accuracy of the documentation.
* Working alongside product owners, product managers, business analysts, architects and developers to receive or provide input.
* Managing documentation updates and revisions in our internal knowledge base.
* Creating visual content to enhance documentation.
Requirements:
* Experience working as a technical writer, technical documentation manager, or similar role.
* Ability to create different types of technical content (including API documentation).
* Proven track record of scoping, planning, and delivering end-to-end documentation for a digital product.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
* Experience in content structuring.
* Highly organized with attention to detail.
* Analytical mindset, research, and exploration skills.
* Proven ability to deliver quality documentation under tight deadlines.
* Comfortable with a fast-paced and deadline-driven environment, managing multiple or competing priorities.
* Ability to work independently as well as in a collaborative team environment.
* Motivated/self-starter, with strong time management skills.
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills – you will be expected to liaise with key stakeholders across the company.
* Strong self-editing skills.
* Excellent problem-solving skills.
