Every day is different, but you’ll mostly be:
People
1. Direct everyday Revenue tasks, plan and assign work ensuring you always have the right staffing numbers.
2. Develop your team and improve their performance through coaching and feedback, and create performance and development goals for colleagues.
3. Train colleagues to make sure they deliver with compliance and to the standards we expect and have the tools they need to work efficiently.
4. Recommend or initiate any HR related actions where needed.
5. Keep connected with key contacts including owners, asset managers, guests, travel agencies, others as needed.
Financial
1. Put in place and implement pricing, yield, and selling strategies for the hotel, based on market factors and company guidelines.
2. Guide and direct all revenue generating departments and their heads/leaders in selecting the optimum revenue opportunities for the hotel.
3. Prepare hotel budgets, financial forecasts and reporting.
4. Understand the dynamics of the market and effect on RGI performance.
5. Conduct weekly Revenue Meetings where the current 120-day booking period is evaluated for proper rate and availability control.
6. Review with Sales team all Group requests and evaluate how each booking will impact occupancy, ADR over the dates in question.
Guest Experience
1. Help guests - you’ll be happy to help if someone needs assistance with a request or complaint.
2. Make sure reservation process is in line with guests’ expectations and IHG standards.
Responsible Business
1. Maintain any software programs which contribute to the management of room’s revenue, including Concerto and SBRP.
2. Support operational departments with staffing requirements and increase efficiency by providing the latest occupancy trends.
3. Oversee and evaluate the effectiveness of any internal up-selling program for Front Office and Reservations.
4. Other ad-hoc duties – unexpected moments when we have to pull together to get a task done.
