You will be responsible to:
Achieve results through others either direct line management responsibility or permanently assigned transversal management accountability. Direct line management responsibilities include promote motivation, engagement and enablement of the team, performance appraisals, pay reviews, training and talent development.
1. Manage projects in the allocated area and escalate complex issues to more senior colleagues or managers. It is recognized that the level of support required will increase when projects that are more complex are assigned. Project assignment will always be based on business need, however, preferentially, projects assigned will have a medium to high degree of complexity including
2. a medium to high cumulative sales / project cost value
3. a medium to high project control level
4. up to a high customer segmentation level
5. Proactively manage and take responsibility of the scope, cost, time and quality of each project assigned
6. Deliver the project objectives (e.g. results, processes, products) through a structured approach in alignment with industry or Company best practices
7. Lead the project team to take decisions and influence key stakeholders with integrity
8. Participate in project team composition and selection
9. Clarify project team roles and responsibilities and enable others to optimize their use of technical, management and leadership skills
10. Communicate proactively and effectively internally and externally, building rapport with key stakeholders
11. Build and sustain motivation of the project TMs and positive dynamics within the project team
12. Give timely and specific feedback to the project TMs regularly, both positive and constructive
13. Develop knowledge related to PM methodologies, tools and techniques
14. Master project management processes and tools
15. Manage complex projects/ analysis with significant impact on business
16. Make quality and timely decisions based on multiple sources of data
17. Manage risk and uncertainty; anticipate and escalate roadblocks in order to prevent deviations to the goals
18. Follow all applicable GMP and HSE guidelines, internal and external requirements as well as promote the implementation and maintenance of Hovione´s policies, systems and procedures (COPs, HBR, SOPs and others)
19. Carry out assigned tasks and duties in a safe manner, in accordance with instructions, and to comply with environmental, health & safety rules/procedures, regulations and codes of practice
We are looking to recruit a Candidate:
20. Minimum degree level qualification required. Master´s degree in Science or Engineering, or related fieldhighly desired. Alternative business-related qualification (e.g. MBA) allied to customer facing experience
21. Project Management qualification (e.g. PMP, Prince2 or equivalent) or education (highly advantageous)
22. At least 5 years of relevant experience in an operational and / or scientific area within the Industry (highly desirable)
23. Technical background preferred, or experience working in the Pharmaceutical Industry, especially CDMO environment
24. Able to demonstrate mastery of Project Management processes and tools through proven experience in a PM function (mandatory)
25. Experience in leading others in project context
26. Comfortable in an environment of change and levels of uncertainty as befits complex development and manufacturing projects in a CDMO environment
27. Experience of, and comfort with different cultural environments and styles as befits a worldwide client base is desirable.
28. Able to make quality and timely decisions based on multiple sources of data
29. Able to make decisions regarding prioritization of tasks, planning, quality of deliverables and topics to communicate to external partners
30. Able to proactively manage risk and uncertainty; anticipates roadblocks in order to prevent deviations to the plan and proactively informs the customer when any changes and / or challenges
31. Must have the Knowledge, Experience and Skills to conduct their tasks in accordance with the rules and procedures set down
32. Good communication skills (verbal and written), allied to good presentation skills demonstrated towards customers but also internal stakeholders, including Senior Management of the Company
33. Skilled at managing processes and tools
34. Fluency in English is a requirement
