Job Title: NDT Expert
About the Role:
As a materials tester for non-destructive testing in the field, you will work with international field service teams, on-site at our customers' power plants and at our service locations worldwide.
You will apply suitable NDT techniques to detect material defects in highly stressed components that may impact the service life of the components or component safety. You document the test results and coordinate the evaluation with your colleagues in the specialist department/engineering.
Key Responsibilities:
* You will be responsible for the preparation, execution, and follow-up of non-destructive tests on turbine and generator components in power plants (worldwide).
* Integrated into international project teams, you will execute non-destructive tests and document the results.
* You will collaborate and coordinate with subcontractors as well as with customer representatives.
Requirements:
* Knowledge of NDT testing methods (VT/PT/MT/ET/UT/RT or RT film evaluation), certification according to ISO 9712, level 2 preferred.
* Technical training in the field of electrical engineering/metals (as a materials tester) or a comparable qualification.
* Extensive practical experience as NDT inspector is a plus.
* High degree of flexibility for changes in planning at short notice.
* Ability and willingness to travel worldwide.
* Fluency in English (written and spoken) and ability to adapt to foreign cultures.
* Basic skills in the handling of modern communication technology and knowledge in MS Office.

We are a DIN EN ISO 17025 accredited NDT testing laboratory mainly located in Mülheim an der Ruhr, Germany. Our team of highly qualified specialists is part of the Siemens Energy service organization for power plant turbine generator sets. Our focus is on highly stressed components of power plant turbine sets.
