This Marketing Manager role will be reporting to Marketing Director Ortho for Southern Europe and will be in charge of implementing the strategic approach necessary to achieve targets for sales, gross profit and operating profit in a complex market incorporating the core areas of Focus Trauma across our hybrid go-to-market models (Direct & In-Direct) across Spain, for Trauma division.
What will you be doing?Support development and help drive the Trauma marketing plan for Spain and responsible for the Implementation of activities, applicable to the assigned product portfolio.Deliver both the sales and profitability targets of all portfolio products in line with budget and targets.Devise local strategy where appropriate to achieve financial targets.Structure action plans.Based on KPI's, continually evaluate and revise/update all plans and activity.Assist with recommending and preparing sales and gross profit budgets, ensuring the target is challenging, yet feasible to achieve and maintain within resource allocations.Monitor monthly results of both sales and gross profit, and modify pricing/promotional support/action plans.Report monthly to the Trauma Business Manager and BUD as requested.Constantly assess product groups for potential cost savings, volume growth and profit improvement opportunities.Spend agreed proportion of time in field with customers and sales team, ensuring contact is maintained/established with key accounts, relevant to the product portfolio.Develop/maintain close links with professional bodies (i.e. AOA, etc) relevant to portfolio.Attend trade displays/conferences wherever appropriate and/or directed.Support sales training team with product training and provide comprehensive follow-up and support packages where appropriate for and in conjunction with the training department.Forecasting and portfolio management (including deletions and stock control).New Product Development/Introduction.Market research activities where required to incorporate: New product performance/opportunities, Pricing control (both tender and market), Lead pricing strategy for private and public sectors.Monitor and/or support pricing and commercial teams to achieve: S&N revenue and profit objectives, Interaction with other business segments and Internationally.Key Customer Account Development (for brand portfolio), collaboration with the Sales Force.Assist with setting marketing goals and objectives to support the Region's and Company's vision and principles and report on these as required.Be fully conversant with and ensure everyone adopts the S&N vision mission philosophy in all day-to-day and Compliance.What will you need to be successful?Marketing/ sales/ science postgraduate or industry related qualifications.Desirable MBA or Post graduate business studies (in process of gaining qualification).Strong industry experience with a background in sales or marketing management. Marketing experience Successful track record with implementing a marketing strategy.Strong marketing & sales skills.Superior Interpretation of product techniques and procedures.Deep understanding of the medical device industry, market drivers.Comprehension of all compliance issues.Advanced Microsoft Office proficiency.English and Spanish fluent.CompetenciesAbility to think strategically and implement strategy.Strong understanding of business operations and analytical capabilities.Forward looking and drives continuous improvement throughout the organisation, committed to excellence.Highly focused on exceeding customer expectations.Highly effective social skills and the ability to develop relationships with internal and external customers.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Ability to work well within a matrix environment.TravelDomestic- up to 30%; international- up to 5%
