Position Overview: We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Junior Financial Controller to oversee and streamline the financial and operational functions of PACO Services.
This role requires a proactive individual with a background in finance and operations, capable of navigating the unique challenges of our service-oriented business model.
The ideal candidate will also provide strategic advice and direction to senior management to support informed decision-making and drive business growth.
Key Responsibilities: Financial Management: Oversee all financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
Manage accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely invoicing and payments.
Coordinate with external accountants to ensure compliance with tax regulations and timely filings.
Develop and maintain financial policies and procedures to ensure accuracy and compliance.
Payroll & Expense Management: Supervise payroll processes, and coorindating with our third party accountants.
Monitor and manage employee expenses, implementing cost-control measures where necessary.
Reporting and Strategic Support: Prepare and present monthly financial reports to shareholders, highlighting key metrics and financial performance.
Provide strategic advice and direction to senior management, offering insights to support informed decision-making and drive business growth.
Develop ad-hoc reports as required to support business decisions.
Client Relations: Manage client invoicing, addressing any payment issues or concerns promptly.
Foster strong relationships with clients, ensuring high levels of satisfaction and addressing any operational issues.
Operational Oversight: Maintain and optimize spreadsheets and financial records, ensuring data integrity.
Collaborate with internal teams to streamline operations and improve efficiency.
Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and internal policies.
Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in finance and operations management, preferably within the services sector.
Proficiency in Stripe, Excel, and Primavera Accounting Software preferred.
Strong understanding of Portuguese accounting standards and tax regulations.
Exceptional organizational and multitasking abilities.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with proficiency in both Portuguese and English
