What Will You Do?
You’ll have the opportunity to design and engineer mobile robotic systems, assisting in the release, production, and service follow-up of assigned new or revised autonomous products. The focus will be on C++ software development for autonomous robot applications and integration of advanced algorithms. Key responsibilities include:
• Creating engineering design for new and improved robotic systems or products which meet market, safety, quality, performance, reliability, and durability requirements.
• Actively participating in the specification, design and implementation of software for autonomous mobile robots, including its subsystems for localization, navigation, path planning and cloud based information services .
• Managing the software release cycle, including the continuous integration and delivery process.
• Creating and supporting the development of software for automated tests and code analysis.
• Coordinating design with others to ensure integration into the overall solution.
• Taking design decisions related to algorithms, implementation strategies and production of system software.
• Promoting good practices and efficiency improvements in software development processes.
• Reporting on project status and issues that may require assistance.
What Do You Need?
• Master’s degree in Computer, Software or Electrical Engineering.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience as a Software Engineer or similar role.
• Strong background in C++ (preferably C++17 or superior) .
• Experience using GNU/Linux as a development environment, creating shell scripts and performing basic system administration.
• Good understanding of message transport protocols and asynchronous communication models.
• Experience using version control tools (e.g. SVN or GIT) and working in a structured, revision-controlled software development environment.
• Experience managing the software buildchain using a CI/CD automation solution, e.g. Jenkins, Azure DevOps.
• Good written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Comfortable working in an R&D environment and engaging with cross-functional teams.
• Availability to occasional travel to test sites, customer locations, supplier/partner facilities, manufacturing facilities, and other locations as required (initially Europe & North America).
How to stand out?
• Experience using ZeroMq, MQTT, AsyncAPI for scalable event-driven systems.
• Experience with ROS2.
• Experience with parallel computing, multi-threading, GPU-based processing pipelines.
• Experience with deployment of AI models to edge devices.
• Experience working with package and dependency managers, e.g. vcpkg, npm.
• Experience working with embedded platforms, e.g. Arduino, Raspberry Pi, Nvidia Jetson.
• Familiarity with mobile robotic subsystems such as localization, navigation, path planning, sensor fusion, and multi-agent control.
