Job Description: Assistant Electrician
Key Responsibilities
1. Assist the Chief Electrician in the planning and execution of maintenance and operational work within the electrical section.
2. Familiarize yourself with all regulations and work procedures.
3. Evaluate critical or special work requirements and obtain a Work Permit signed by the Chief Electrician before undertaking such tasks.
4. Execute assigned tasks in conformance with safe working procedures as instructed.
5. Ensure tools, equipment, workshops, and stores are maintained in good order, including record-keeping and inventory management of stores.
6. Advise the Chief Electrician of potential hazards, deficiencies, and non-conformances observed, as well as completed jobs and outstanding details.
7. Always use Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) provided.
