What you can expect in this role
* Leadership Role: As a key member of the Tech Hub's Leadership team, you'll drive our company to the next level jointly with our Managing Director, Head of Data, and HR Country Lead.
* Team Collaboration: Lead a diverse group of young and experienced professionals organized into agile Product teams distributed across our Porto and German locations. As for now, our teams specialize in cutting-edge software development (Backend, Frontend, Fullstack), corporate tools (MS 365, Salesforce, ServiceNow) and cloud solutions.
* End-to-End IT Staff Management: Oversee the full lifecycle of our IT talent – recruitment, onboarding, development, retention, and transitions – while building a strong employer brand.
* Mentorship & Culture Building: Play a crucial role in recruiting and coaching engineers, fostering a high-performance culture, and promoting collaboration across teams.
* External Representation: Act as the face of 7.1 Tech Hub at local meet-ups, national conferences, and other events to strengthen our employer brand.
Your essential experience and education
* Leadership Excellence: At least 2 years of experience as disciplinary manager in IT, with a solid grasp of recruiting, performance management, leadership, communication and learning strategies.
* Educational Background: Bachelor's or Master's degree in IT or substantial relevant experience in the field.
* Core Competencies: Exceptional communication skills and ability to read people (incl. weak signals) and understand their needs, a structured approach in building trust and a commitment to fostering collaboration, can-do spirit and transparency.
* Approach: The position requires both strategic mindset/thinking as well as hands-on implementation skills.
* Language Skills: Fluency in English and Portuguese is essential (German is a plus).
